Magnetized Remake — Privacy Policy
Effective: 20 October 2026
Magnetized Remake is made by Rocky Hong. This policy explains what the game collects and why. In short: the game has no accounts, no ads and no in-app purchases, and it never asks who you are.
What the game collects
The game sends a small number of anonymous gameplay events, so we can see how far players get. Examples: the first time a save clears a level, reaches the Ending, or unlocks an achievement. Each event can carry counts from that save, such as the number of deaths, retries, magnet presses and seconds played before that first clear.
Each event is sent once per save, the first time it happens. Replaying a level or re-watching a scene sends nothing.
Alongside each event, our analytics provider records:
- the app version, operating system and device language;
- the country, worked out from your IP address (see "Who processes the data" for how the IP address is handled).
What the game does not collect
- No name, email, account or contact details.
- No device ID, advertising ID or any other identifier. The game stores no identifier on your device, and the events cannot be linked back to you.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
- No crash reports.
Who processes the data
Events are sent to Aptabase, an analytics service built for privacy. They are processed and stored in the United States. Aptabase acts as our processor under its Data Processing Agreement, which is part of its Terms of Service. To count sessions without identifiers, Aptabase hashes the IP address with a salt that it discards every 24 hours. Aptabase keeps analytics data for up to 5 years.
Because the events cannot be linked to a person, we cannot find, export or delete the events of one player.
Your save, achievements and leaderboards
Your progress is saved on your device. If you use your platform's cloud save (such as Steam Cloud), the platform syncs it under its own privacy policy. Achievements and the leaderboard go through Steam, Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, and those platforms handle that data under their own policies. The game does not receive your platform account details.
Children
The game collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If the game ever collects a new kind of data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
